As Commissioner of External Affairs, you are responsible for maintaining strong relationships with B&R Beurs’ existing partners and actively reaching out to new ones. Your role begins immediately after the General Assembly of Members, as you will dive straight into your first responsibilities.
One of your initial tasks is setting up meetings with partners to introduce yourself, reflect on last year’s collaboration, and explore opportunities for renewal in the upcoming academic year. Some of these meetings will take place together with me, your predecessor, but you will quickly take the lead independently.

You will work closely with the Commissioner of Education and Career. Together, you will present the value of a partnership with B&R Beurs, follow up on discussions via email, and coordinate potential events. When agreements are made regarding (direct) recruitment, you will update the career board on our website or actively connect students with the partners involved.
After completing the initial round of meetings, your focus will shift toward executing and maintaining these partnerships. This includes regular contact with partners through calls and emails to fine-tune event details and recruitment activities. For the organization and promotion of events, you will collaborate with the Commissioner of Activities and Marketingto ensure strong outreach to our members and a clear plan for participants.
You will personally attend nearly all career-related events to ensure everything runs smoothly, welcome both partners and members, and actively participate in sessions to stimulate engagement. Beyond the professional responsibilities, this role offers extensive exposure to the financial sector, contributing significantly to your personal and professional development. Naturally, this also includes attending post-event drinks and networking with company representatives and B&R Beurs members.
Does taking on the role of the most outgoing and professionally involved board member sound appealing to you? Then make sure to join one of the drinks and talk to me or my predecessors, preferably with a beer in hand.
