This is what you’ll do

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Product Controller. You will learn to be responsible for the correct and accurate accounting and reporting of NIBC's product portfolio with an emphasis on

  • Accounting, controlling and expected credit loss calculations of NIBC credit portfolio
  • NIBC subsidiaries based on accounting and product data delivered by the subsidiaries
  • Equity investments, review the processing of relevant events
  • Composing annual accounts for investment related (smaller) subsidiaries and equity funds,  managing the financial review/audits by external audit firms.

This is achieved by using insight and overview, conducting controls and performing performance monitoring of the portfolios. With the support of the team you will develop your skills through in-depth analysis, you will evaluate the performance of the product portfolios and the accurateness of the accounting processes. With your contribution, the Finance department is able to create relevant insights and contribute to strategic decision-making. Hence, this position entails a fusion of financial analysis, accounting, valuation, and collaboration across various teams.

 

Your team

As a Junior Product Controller you will join the Product Control team of NIBC’s Finance department. Within the Finance department, the Product Control team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of (financial) reporting for NIBC’s product portfolios, valuation of financial instruments, the execution of hedge accounting and controlling the portfolios managed by the different businesses, as well as performing the monthly closing procedures and preparing the IFRS-based financial statements and disclosures for NIBC. Within the team, with a mix in experience and backgrounds, we strive for an informal, collegial atmosphere where respect, appreciation and positivity are core values.

Think Yes If you…

  • Have completed a relevant degree (a degree in Finance or Financial economics), demonstrating eagerness to learn and a can-do attitude in order to continue growing and developing in the role;
  • Have 0-2 years of relevant experience (including internship), preferably in banking;
  • Have knowledge of accounting for financial instruments, and have strong problem-solving skills in order to address (financial) challenges.
  • Have fluent language skills in English and Dutch
  • Have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis, and can work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

 

 

No relevant working experience required!  

Fresh ideas and new perspectives are more than welcome at our bank.
